What you’ll be doing:

  • Participate in an introductory apprenticeship training program that will provide you with the opportunity to be part of a fast-growing technology company while learning the foundation of Product/Business Analytic practices
  • Participate and contribute to all facets of the product life cycle either independently or as part of a team
  • Assist Product Management, Software Engineers and Architects execute on strategies to deliver value and innovation to our customers
  • Contribute as a sounding board to a Product Manager or the Business Lead
  • Enhance and/or develop First Orion empire products and services
  • Provide data analysis, reporting, and technology implementations using industry leading principles, methodologies, and programs
  • Serve as an extension to the Product Management Team and use the tools of record and methodology set forth by the Product Management Community Leader throughout the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Research and develop an understanding of First Orion’s products, tools, and processes
  • Participate in both self-driven, online education and projects using resources from respected external organizations and industry/company specific training with our in-house experts.
  • Partner with an onsite mentor and a team of software engineering mentors plus, have an education program director to provide guidance along the way.
  • Be a full-time hire, eligible for benefits, and enjoy all of the perks and programs available to our full-time team members.
  • After the introductory apprentice training program is completed, you will continue working in the Product Analyst position on full-time basis as an at-will employee. The introductory apprentice training program is not a separate position.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative or business field (Marketing, Business, Math, Computer Science) or related degree programs (e.g. Instructional design) and/or 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with requirements definition and data/data products
  • Experience applying extensive analytic, business, and product defining skills to enhance or develop products and services
  • Working knowledge of software development and structured data
  • Ability to communicate findings
  • Project management skills
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite

Bonus Points:

  • Prior Internships completed
  • Knowledgeable in the Agile Methodology and Scrum
  • Knowledgeable with Atlassian Software Development Suite (Confluence/Jira/Bit Bucket)
  • Knowledgeable in building business models and forecasting
  • Telecom experience

Duties include, but are not limited to: Learning and applying knowledge of the concepts and principles of accounting and, as required, auditing or examinations sufficient to do entry-level work designed to meet developmental objectives; Serving as a trainee and perform various developmental audit related duties and responsibilities as assigned; Participating in an audit team approach, in assisting auditors, in the conduct of work, involving systematic examination and appraisal of financial records and practices, affecting or reflecting the financial condition and operating results, of an activity within the Medicaid and Medicare programs; and Conducting activities related to the detection of fraud, waste, and abuse. WestRock Conway – Intern

WestRock in Conway is looking for an intern to assist us in implementing a 3rd party software that will be used as our primary training tool for the plant.  We are looking for a business student that is versed in using Apple products and has familiarity with applications like Facebook.  We are looking for someone that is outgoing as they will be training plant employees on using the new software.  The internship is paid and the length is expected to be at least 1 year.

Washington Internships

UCA students who are interested in an experiential learning opportunity in Washington DC should consider The Washington Center (TWC) for Internships & Academic Seminars during either the spring, summer, or fall term. The internship program consists of three components for which students earn UCA credit hours: (1) Internship – three to six credit hours; (2) Academic Course – three credit hours; and (3) Career Readiness – three credit hours.
