Letters will indicate one of three categories:
- For the STANDARD LICENSE eligibility letter:
- Your degree is pending for this semester’s graduation or has been awarded.
- You have an approved background check.
- You have passing score(s) for your Praxis subject assessment(s) on file.
- [Elementary and Special Education] You have a passing score for Foundations of Reading on file.
- ELEMENTARY & SPECIAL EDUCATION ONLY — For the ONE-YEAR, NON-RENEWABLE PROVISIONAL LICENSE eligibility letter:
- Meet all requirements for the STANDARD LICENSE except Foundations of Reading is not yet passed.
- Have a verifiable employment offer with an Arkansas public or charter school.
NOTE: A provisional license will only be issued AFTER you have a verified your employment with an Arkansas public school or public charter school.
- For the EMERGENCY TEACHING PERMIT eligibility letter:
NOTE: The Emergency Teaching Permit (ETP) must be initiated by the school district, not the student. If the school district wishes to employ you under the ETP, complete this form to request an eligibility letter. - Your degree is pending for this semester’s graduation or your degree has been awarded.
- Special education is NOT eligible for the emergency teaching permit.
- You have an approved background check.
