An admission requirements waiver, if approved, allows a teacher education candidate one (1) semester to enroll in post-admission courses without full admission to the teacher education program.
After this one semester, a candidate must have completed all admission requirements to enroll in other post-admission courses.
Do the following before submitting the petition to waive admission requirements:
- Complete of the application for admission to the teacher education program.
- Initiate the criminal history background check process.
NOTES:
-
The background check requirement cannot be waived.
-
Waivers are NOT approved for requirements that will be (or can be) completed this semester.
For example, if you are enrolled in a required foundation course this semester, your admission decision will be made once that course is completed.
