English Proficiency Standards

The following are general requirements for most programs at UCA. Some academic programs may require different levels of English proficiency.

 

IMPORTANT: Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, international students affected by testing center closures may submit the Duolingo English Test for admission in the Fall 2020 or Spring 2021 semester. The minimum score to meet English language proficiency for undergraduate admission is a 95.

*Test scores must be less than 2 years old.

** Test scores must be less than 5 years old.

Students who have already taken either the ACT or SAT will need to have the appropriate testing agency send the official scores to UCA. We will only accept official scores sent to us from the testing agency. UCA school code for the ACT is 0118; UCA school code for the SAT is 6012.

It may take 3-4 weeks before UCA receives these scores, so please send your results to us as soon as possible.
