Dr. Riva Brown, Global Learning Specialist, is also EDGE@Baridon Academic Coordinator and Associate Professor of Public Relations in the School of Communication. She began working at UCA in August 2013 and lives in Conway.

Education:

  • Ph.D. Mass Communication, University of Southern Mississippi (2013)
  • M.S. Public Relations, USM (1998)
  • B.A. Journalism, USM (1993)

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage UCA’s Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) program
  • Provide leadership and assistance to support long- and short-term co-curricular global and intercultural programming through CGLE’s Global Spotlight programs
  • Serve as Global Learning Faculty Liaison on the Global Learning Advisory Committee, which began work in fall 2023
  • Help promote and implement Global Learning Scholar Program
