UCA Challenge Course Updates

GRAND OPENING SEPTEMBER 3RD AT 1:30 P.M.

 

 

The Challenge Course is expected to be open for business this Fall! More information will be coming soon.

 

LATEST UPDATE : 8/4/19

*Tuesday, August 4th: Since the last update, a lot has changed work has now fully shifted to the obstacles and assembling the rock wall! We are very pleased with the progress on the Challenge Course this far and will continue to post updates as they’re available!*

 

              

 

 

*Tuesday, July 23th: As platform construction wraps up, work now begins on constructing individual obstacles as well as ropes and wires are now being up to secure poles!*

                                         

                                       

 

 

*Thursday, July 18: Ending the week with another successful day of construction!*

          

*Wednesday, July 17th: The weather was perfect *

 

* Tuesday, July 16th: Work continues on the pole platforms! *

                             

*Monday, July 15th: Work continues on the pole platforms! *

*Friday, July 13th: We now have started building the pole platforms!

*Friday, July 12th: More poles were placed and construction began to shift  to putting the platforms on the poles!*


*Thursday, July 11th: Some of the poles have been placed and construction continues onward!*

                 

*Day 1: The first day of construction started off with playing in the mud!*

                            

*We are excited to announce that materials are now being delivered daily and construction will be underway shortly! The UCA Challenge Course will be soon up and running for experiential learning and plenty of outdoor high ropes adventures!*  

Where is the Challenge Course located?

The UCA Challenge Course is located just behind the Intramural Fields-next to the Jewel Moore Nature Reserve!

 

 

 

Available to all students, faculty, staff, and the non UCA community. 

(Open through group reservation only.)

 

 Facility includes:

  • 10 obstacle High Static Team Course 
  •  4 stand alone High Ropes Challenges     
  • 17 Low Team Challenges
  •  2 Outdoor Climbing Wall
  • 2 Dual Ziplines
    -The purpose of the UCA Challenge Course is to provide an outdoor environment where UCA and the rest of the community will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities that can be organized to focus on topics such as: team building,  self growth, and recreation.
