Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy

Federal regulations require students to be making satisfactory progress toward the completion of a degree or certificate program in order to receive Title IV aid. Title IV programs include: Pell Grant, Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG), Work Study, Perkins Loans, Stafford Loans, and PLUS Loans. A student’s Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) is reviewed at the end of each term. When a student’s academic performance does not meet the requirements of this policy, they will become ineligible to receive federal financial aid.

If your financial aid appeal is denied you can choose to have it submitted to the financial aid appeals committee. The appeals committee will meet on the following dates for Spring 2017:

Wednesday, January 11 9:00 – 12:00
Friday, January 13 1:30 – 4:30
Tuesday, January 17 1:30 – 4:30
Wednesday, January 18 1:30 – 4:30
Thursday, January 26 1:30 – 4:30
Thursday, February 2 1:30 – 4:30
