We are looking forward to working with young musicians from age 4-18 in our Piano Camp. We have classes for first time beginners as well as those who have had a few years of lessons. Your children will receive instruction from master teachers, receive one on one attention, and experience the fun of making music with a group! Here is a list of our classes taught by UCA faculty and assisted by our skilled and outstanding students and graduates.
Ages 4-5 Piano Class and Music Makers, Monday – Friday 9:00am-10:45am
Taught by Dr. Christa Kuebel and Ms. Christine Franklin
Cost: $175 per student (enroll by June 15 for this early bird price)
A fun, fast-paced introduction to piano and all the foundational music skills needed to study any instrument! A great way to begin piano lessons! Piano Class includes:
- Learning to read music
- Reading and performing rhythms
- Developing aural skills
- Steady beat practice
- Fun and creative activities
Students will participate in a 50 minute piano class and a 45 minute Music Makers class.
Music Makers class includes:
- Singing
- Percussion instruments
- Ear training
- Activities are designed to develop musical understanding and extend the skills they have learned in piano.

A class designed especially for older beginners who are ready to learn piano! This fun and fast-paced class will cover all the beginning skills to play the piano. The class will include:
- Beginning music reading
- Understanding and performing rhythms
- Ear training
- Steady beat skills
- Chord playing
Our outstanding UCA faculty and assistants will provide one on one and group instruction.
Students will participate in a 50 minute piano class followed by a 45 minute Music Makers class which further strengthens the foundational skills they have learned in piano class. This general music making class will include:
- Ear training and singing
- Movement and rhythm skills
- Percussion instruments
- General music development that complements the concepts they learn in piano class
Next Level Piano and Music Makers classes! (for students with previous piano experience)
Ages 7-8, Monday-Friday 10:00am-11:50am
Ages 9-11, Monday-Friday 11:00am-12:45pm
Cost: $175 per student (enroll by June 15 for early bird price)
Ages 12-18 (Piano Class Only), Monday-Friday 12:00pm-12:55pm
Cost: $100 per student
These two classes are for students who have had a few years of piano lessons. Discover several styles of music and learn to improvise in the pop and jazz styles, read chord charts, play in an ensemble, and generally strengthen those basic theory and technical skills. This class will encourage your students to keep playing this summer and experience piano in a fun group setting.
The classes are grouped so that the pacing and content will be age appropriate.
