Director of Campus Recreation
David is originally from Los Angeles California where he attended California State University, Fullerton. It is there he earned his Master of Science in Physical Education. During this time he taught classes and helped developed the Human Performance Laboratory. After graduation he managed private health clubs in California and Hawaii.
He came to UCA in August 1993. In that year the recreation department was a one person office, six student recreation staff, and eight lifeguards. Today the Department of Campus Recreation Department has grown with the university. We now have seven full-time professional staff, 100+ student workers, and recreation facilities (HPER Center, Farris Center pool, softball/soccer complex and tennis center) that are second to none in the state.
As director his main goal is to make available to students/faculty and staff the best and safest facilities, programs, and equipment for recreational pursuits.
