The Honors Program in Religious Studies
Students who major in religious studies and who demonstrate exceptional ability may request or may be invited to enter the religious studies honors program, part of the UCA Honors in the Major program. (Note: The Religious Studies Honors Program is not affiliated with the Schedler Honors College and is available to any student who meets the requirements.)
In addition to or as one of the courses required for a major in the area, the student must:
- Complete RELG 4300 Religious Studies Honors Tutorial;
- Maintain a minimum 3.25 GPA overall and a 3.5 GPA in the major;
- Complete an honors thesis in conjunction with RELG 4300; and
- Pass an oral examination on the theses conducted by three faculty members.
