Suffrage Centennial

We are proud to have participated in the #ForwardIntoLight campaign to amplify the important history of women’s fight for the vote and to honor the centennial of the 19th Amendment. In case you missed it, check out Old Main in #PurpleAndGold!

From “Votes for Women” to Votes for All:

Celebrating 100 Years of Voting Progress

The University of Central Arkansas (UCA) is producing a week of Suffrage Centennial activities (Sept. 2020) commemorating the 100-year anniversary of the passage of the Nineteenth Amendment, which made it unlawful to discriminate on the basis of sex when voting. Public activities will take place on the campus in Conway and at the top-flight Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, AR. Multidisciplinary activities will happen on and around two new site-specific public art installations located in UCA’s historic Alumni Circle.
