Engaged Arkansas Conference

The Arkansas Engaged Learning Network invites K-16 educators, student leaders, researchers, community leaders, and volunteer coordinators to submit proposals for the 2026 Engaged Arkansas Conference. Our theme is Future-Ready Engagement: Civic and Experiential Learning, Technology, and Resilience, and proposals should emphasize

  • equipping learners and communities with the skills, mindsets, and connections needed to thrive in an unpredictable, and tech-driven world;
  • fostering active participation, real-world problem-solving, and a sense of belonging in civic and experiential learning (that may serve as a critical antidotes to social fragmentation, civic disengagement, cognitive decline, and demographic cliffs);
  • and deploying technology, like generative AI and online education, that expands access and personalization but also demands ethical reflection and digital literacy.

Resilience, in this sense, requires institutions and individuals to adapt collaboratively, integrating innovation to address emerging challenges with integrity and meaningful deliberation. This theme will be explored at an in-person conference with plenty of opportunities for learning, networking, and capacity-building.

All proposals must be submitted through the proposal submission form by January 30, 2026. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by February 15, 2026.

Join us in shaping the future of engaged learning and resilient communities. Registration coming soon.
