Psi Chi International Honor Society

  • The purpose of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology (founded in 1929) is to “encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology” (Psi Chi, 2023; Click here to earn more about the history of Psi Chi).
  • As an honors society membership is open to undergraduates, graduates, faculty who meet the membership requirements.  The requirements for membership are available here: Psi Chi Membership Requirements (undergraduate students at UCA must have a minimum 3.3 GPA overall and in their PSYC courses)
  • UCA maintains a very active Psi Chi chapter, including multiple Society Model Chapter Awards and the Ruth Hubbard Cousins award.
