21 credit hours  ·  9 or more earned at UCA  ·  2.0 minimum GPA in the minor  ·  Open to all majors

Why Choose the Multicultural Psychology Minor?

  • Build the cultural understanding nearly every profession now depends on
  • Examine difference from several angles: psychology, philosophy, health, religion, and language
  • Understand intergroup relations, identity, and communication across groups
  • Prepare for counseling, social work, healthcare, education, law, and public service
  • Strengthen any major that involves working with people

The required core is PSYC 3335 and PSYC 3341. No more than two electives may come from the same department, which is the main planning point since strong options sit in psychology, health, philosophy, and religious studies. The pathways are conversation starters, so talk with your advisor about your combination.
