General Psychology Minor

Minor in Psychology

Study how people think, feel, learn, and behave, then carry that understanding into almost any field you enter. The Psychology minor pairs with nearly every major because nearly every career involves working with people.

21 credit hours  ·  9 or more earned at UCA  ·  2.0 minimum GPA in psychology coursework  ·  Open to all majors

Why Choose the Psychology Minor?

  • The most versatile minor we offer, complementing majors across the entire campus
  • Build skills employers and graduate programs value: interpreting evidence, understanding behavior, and clear communication
  • Tune the minor to your interests with a fully flexible elective structure
  • Prepare for careers and graduate study in counseling, healthcare, human resources, education, law, and research
  • Strengthen any major that involves working with people

This minor is deliberately flexible. Any six approved psychology electives complete it, so the pathways above are conversation starters rather than tracks. Talk with your advisor about the combination that fits your goals, and note that PSYC 4301, 4302, and 4311 do not count toward the minor.

Find Your Path
