The AntEater

Bryan W. Massey, Chair of the Department of Art & Design recently completed a commission for the City of Hot Springs, AR. The sculpture titled The AntEater made of fabricated steel and Indiana Limestone will be located in the City of Hot Springs Sculpture Park,  near the Farmer’s Market in Downtown Hot Springs. It is scheduled to be installed later this fall.

On another note Chair Massey recently served as the juror for the 2021 Annual Pine Bluff League of Artists art competition at the Arts & Science Center for Southwest Arkansas in Pine Bluff, AR. Twenty one  of seventy five works of art, presented by members of the Pine Bluff League of Artists, were selected. He has also been commissioned to design and create the award for the upcoming 2022 Governor’s Arts Award sponsored and presented by the Arkansas Arts Council. The event is scheduled for March 2022 where nine participants will receive the award for their individual and corporate contributions to the Arts.
