Ready to be a BEAR? Use this checklist to guide you through the process.
Visit Campus
Schedule a Campus Tour and attend one of our Bear Facts Days this fall. Both are great opportunities to get a glimpse of UCA campus life and academic offerings. Campus tours are offered through the Office of Admissions Monday through Friday at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Bear Facts Day offers a more in-depth look at UCA’s university experience and student success resources, with opportunities to help you complete this checklist. You can visit with housing, meet with faculty and staff, explore academics, and experience student life!
Apply for Admission
Apply online at uca.edu/apply. Applications are processed on a rolling basis throughout the year. We estimate approximately three weeks to process your application. This estimation is based on complete applications (i.e., application, transcript(s), and test scores are received). However, this estimation depends on the volume of applications received by the Office of Admissions. During high volumes times, we will correspond with students via email to expedite communication. Students may also stay up-to-date on their application status by using their application portal.
Find out what you need to submit for admission by visiting Apply to UCA.
Apply for Housing
Living in the residence halls or other campus housing offers you everything you need for college survival, along with a number of advantages. You will have convenient access to campus facilities, comfortable living accommodations, and a residence life staff to help you. Freshmen who are under 21 years of age and enrolled full-time are required to live on campus or with a relative. Housing assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis so it’s important to submit the online housing application and deposit soon after being admitted to UCA.
The Office of Housing and Residence Life would love to help you if you have questions. Contact them at housing@uca.edu or .
Apply for Financial Aid
All degree-seeking students are encouraged to apply for financial aid through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is required for federal financial aid, many state aid programs, and all UCA scholarships. Go to fasfsa.gov to complete the FAFSA online and include the federal code for the University of Central Arkansas (001092). Once submitted, you will receive an email confirmation with directions concerning next steps. If you have questions about financial aid, contact the Office of Financial Aid at finaid@uca.edu or .
