Entrance Counseling

You will need the following items to complete Entrance Counseling:

  • U.S. Department of Education FSA ID
  • Email address
  • Date of birth
  • Social security number

Follow the steps below to complete Entrance Counseling:

  1. Navigate to the website: https://studentaid.gov/.
  2. On the home page, click on the “Loans and Grants” tab at the top of the screen.
  3. Under the “Get a Loan” section, the fourth thing listed is “Loan Entrance Counseling”, click on that.
  4. Click “Log in to start” (in the blue box).
  5. On the next screen, enter the Student’s FSA ID and Password, then click “Log in”.  On the pop-up screen click Accept.
  6. Click “Start” (blue box) to begin the counseling
  7. Select Arkansas and University of Central Arkansas in the drop-down menus of the School and Loan Information section. UCA’s address and school code (001092) will appear.
  8. Complete your Loan Entrance Counseling by following the prompts and answering the questions provided.

After you have completed Entrance Counseling, our office will be notified by the U.S. Department of Education within approximately 1-2 business days of completion.
