Transfer Students
Transfer students who have taken art courses at other accredited institutions must present a portfolio for Department of Art & Design review in order to receive transfer course credit. Portfolios may consist of actual work, photographs of work submitted on a USB drive, or a web-page link. Submit portfolios to the main Art and Design office, Windgate Center for Fine and Performing Arts 131, with a letter to the Chair designating which UCA course credits are being sought. Please read “Departmental Advancement Requirements” in the Undergraduate Bulletin for details on the minimum number of hours required.
All students seeking the BFA in Studio Art and the BA in Art with Fine Art or Art Education emphases must participate in the Major Advancement Portfolio Review (MAP) which is conducted in the fall of each year. Students planning to participate in the MAP review should enroll in Art 2140 Major Advancement Portfolio. Review the appropriate degree map for details and meet with the department chair for degree plan advising.
