Leo et Pipo (International artist duo based in Paris) initially provided me with all anthropomorphic forms in this series. As with much of my analog cut paper and collage/illustration: for this particular series I reproduced the source material provided and did multi generational photocopies on several images as well as reprinted several as low resolution inkjet printer copies to give texture. I then deliberately “copied” these secondary prints with the copier lid open to allow for slip scan and further pixel light grain to occur. All duplicated and processed images on paper were then cut and collaged together with my own photographs and collection of images that went through a similar printing and reproduction process. Final cut paper assemblages and collages were pushed through another round of scanning and pixel light grain processing, distressing, thresholding, Floyd-Steinberg bitmap/dithering, and other destructive analog processes. Final scanned versions of handmade collages have been lightly touched up in Photoshop.
