No Looking Back!

As we near the finish line for our Spring Semester; we are determined not to look back and dwell upon all the challenges that this past year presented. Globally many people faced challenges and changes in their lives that affected us and caused many to redirect, rethink and reevaluate how we live our daily lives. Many lost love ones, were exposed to COVID-19, had to quarantine, and become newly “tech savvy” as we all adjusted to our virtual new world.

The Department of Art & Design’s faculty and students faced our challenges and overcame them to complete Fall 2020 strong and for that I commend faculty, staff and students in our department. We are taking on Spring 2021 with the same great optimism especially excited as we have recently been working with the architects on selecting new furniture and equipment for the new Windgate Center for Fine and Performing Arts. Yes, the new facility is underway and making progress! We are not only happy about that, but the Department of Art & Design will be launching its new cutting edge Foundation program beginning Fall 2021. More information on that will be forthcoming! So sit back and watch us grow because for the Department of Art & Design, there’s no looking back!
