UCA is well represented at this years annual Arkansas College Art History Symposium which will take place at the Windgate Center for Art and Design on the UALR campus in Little Rock.
- Olivia Fleming will present her paper on Francis Bacon
- Katy Rose will present her paper on Marie Watt
- Madison Seiter will present her paper on Wendy Red Star
The keynote lecture will be presented by Dr. Debra Murphy at 6 pm on Thursday March 7.
The symposium itself is Friday March 8 with the first paper scheduled for 9:30 am.

Wesley Hart, BFA candidate with an emphasis in ceramics had his work accepted into the Plate and Platter exhibition at the Carbondale Community Arts, Artspace Gallery. The show was curated by Stephanie Dukat in collaboration with Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s School of Art and Design – Ceramics area. Plate & Platter 2019 features 40 contemporary ceramic works selected by Chandra DeBuse studio potter, educator, and founding member of Kansas City Urban Potters.
Wes and a few of his studio mates also made the trip up to Carbondale to celebrate the opening of the show and to attend a workshop presented by juror Chandra DeBuse.
