We are the UCA Clay Club and we like to get down and dirty making ceramic work! This past fall we held our annual UCA Clay Club Pottery sale, giving our members the opportunity to sell their work. Part of the proceeds went to students and the remaining profits from the sale go to funding our trip to the annual National Council for Education in the Ceramic Arts conference (NCECA). This spring semester we held another small sale on Valentine’s Day to help further fund our trip. NCECA is held at the end of March and this year we have six clay club members attending the conference in Minneapolis (where they will meet up with three additional UCA alumni for a little clay club reunion!). After we return from NCECA we will be holding the Soup Bowl Benefit to raise money for a charity here in Conway. Last year we raised $1000 for Bethlehem House, this years event will happen in April so keep your eyes open for details about this upcoming event.
