Every Third Thursday Training (ETT)

Every Third Thursday Training (ETT Training) is a monthly small-group training that takes place in the offices of University Marketing and Communications in Wingo 113. We focus on hands-on, solution-based training where you can get feedback and learn about resources and best practices. You can choose one or many to attend. Registration required.

Courses Offered:

Writing for Media: Learn the basics of writing for news copy
In this interactive session, participants will learn some basics about creating copy for a news release, media advisory, news post on the UCA website and other writings. This joint presentation with Amanda Hoelzeman, director of media relations, and Fredricka Sharkey, director of communications, will help define primary and secondary details needed for good copy and much more.

WordPress
In this hands-on session, participants will learn some basics about WordPress. You will learn how to edit pages, insert media and publish pages and more.

WordPress Forms
In this hands-on session, participants will learn some basics about WordPress forms. You will learn how to create forms, link them on pages, notification alerts, confirmation messages and more.

Lunch and Learn Training

Lunch and Learn Trainings are specialized trainings that go in-depth on topics with a question and answer session. These training sessions are small-group sessions taught by University staff and industry professionals. Lunch is provided. Email umac@uca.edu for dietary restrictions. Seating limited. Registration required. All sessions held in Wingo 315.
