Pre-Physical Therapy Pathway

Description

The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program requires a Baccalaureate degree as well as specific prerequisite coursework.  Students attending the University of Central Arkansas or another college or university for their undergraduate work may declare a degree with the major of their choice and incorporate the prerequisite coursework (see UCA DPT Course Check-sheet).

Students who are interested in physical therapy and plan to apply for the DPT Degree can find more information in the UCA DPT Brochure or visit the DPT Degree web page.

Students can contact the Program Advisor, Jaclyn Burroughs, by email or by phone at (501) 450-5541 for questions about the degree requirements, DPT prerequisites, admission options and deadlines.  UCA uses the APTA Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service (PTCAS) for application to the DPT program.

The Prerequisite Course Transfer Guide provides helpful information about equivalency of prerequisite courses taken at four-year colleges & universities in Arkansas.
