The Office of Student Life believes that leadership, both inside and outside of the classroom, should be celebrated. The Student Involvement Awards acknowledge the outstanding efforts of students, advisors, and student organizations/businesses and recognize the leadership achievements of our students in their academics and co-curricular activities. Along with the campus-wide Student Involvement Awards, there is a specific set of group of Greek-specific awards awarded every year.
Award Descriptions
Highest Grade Point Average
The highest overall grade point average award will be given to an organization, per council, with the highest cumulative grade point for the Spring 2021 and Fall 2021 semesters combined. Also, an award for the highest term/semester grade point for the Spring 2021 semester and an award for the highest term/semester Fall 2021 semester will be given. The Office of Student Life will calculate grade point averages for the awards.
Campus Involvement
Campus Involvement participation will be calculated based on the involvement document submitted from each chapter (for non-greek related activities). Each member of your organization who holds membership with other campus organizations (non-Greek) will earn one point. Each member of your organization who holds executive positions with other campus organizations (non-Greek) will earn an additional point. The template to the form you need to use can be found here. Make a copy of the form and input the involvement of the members in your chapter. Then a chapter representative must upload the form using this link ( submit one form per organization). All campus involvement forms are due by March 27, 2022, at 11:59 PM. (Listed organization involvements are subject to membership verification by contacting exec board members or use of CubConnect rosters.)
Community Service
Organizations are responsible for reporting evidence of service hours and monetary donations during the 2021-2022 academic year. Awards will be based on most community service hours and philanthropic contributions. Organizations must prove service hours and philanthropic contributions through GivePulse. GivePulse verifies the project/event and must have been approved by the project/event coordinator. The Office of Student Life will verify GivePulse information and contact organizations and coordinators as the last step of the verification process if needed. Eligible dates of service and donations for the 2021-2022 year are March 29, 2021, through March 27, 2022. The last available submission date will be March 27, 2022, at 11:59 PM.
Greek Man & Woman of the Year
From the Greek Man & Greek Woman of the Year, applications received, five Outstanding Greek Men and five Outstanding Greek Women will be selected and awarded. However, of the five outstanding men and five outstanding women, there will be one Greek Man of the Year and one Greek Woman of the Year awarded. There is no limit placed on the number of members from each chapter that may apply. Selections are based on academic achievement, student leadership, and contributions to the UCA and UCA Greek communities, while enrolled as a student at UCA. Applications will be due March 27, 2022, at 11:59 PM, via CubConnect.
