University Overview
Since 1998, Sant’Anna Institute has provided study abroad programs for university students seeking a cosmopolitan experience. The institute, located in the historic center of Sorrento, is perched on the cliffside overlooking the fishing village of Marina Grande from sea-facing windows. The location is only a short walk to the harbor and the Sorrento Station. Sant’Anna occupies a stately building that houses a residence hall, studio space, kitchen, student lounge, gym, and library equipped with a printer. It is surrounded by a garden with lemon, orange, and kiwi trees as well as basketball courts.
Sant’Anna Institute is home to students coming from various countries, but all courses are taught in English. Sorrento is the classroom. It is a global campus in which faculty respect and draw from different points of view while providing rich field trip experiences and on-site visits to locations that enrich the global context of each course.
