Modern Japan Program Information (Direct Enroll Only)

Modern Japan Program (MJP) will allow study-abroad students to take more content courses taught in English about Japanese culture and society, while living in Japan and participating in various types of field trips and workshops. MJP will also provide four levels of Fundamental Japanese courses, using the elementary Japanese textbook Genki I and II. MJP’s Japanese courses will meet for 4 classes a week, which is half as much as our long-run Intensive Japanese Program. That way MJP’s students will be able to have more time to explore what interests them while advancing their Japanese learning. MJP students also take Japanese art courses, such as Tea Ceremony, Flower Arrangement, Manga Drawing, and more. Here’s a 3 minute overview of the program on Youtube.
