The Business & Information Technology (BIT) Club is having its second meeting on Thursday, October 9th. The event, which will be held in the College of Business Auditorium (Rooms 107/208) during X-period (1:40 – 2:30 p.m.), is open to all majors on campus. Mr. Tyler Gilliom, a recent UCA graduate who majored in MIS with an emphasis in Business Analysis, will be the featured speaker. He is a Project Support Analyst for a Health Information System company (Cognosante) based out of McLean, Virginia and is currently working on a Medicaid MIS project in Little Rock. Refreshments will be served and door prizes will be awarded. All students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend.

BIT Club Meeting – 9-18-14
The Business & Information Technology (BIT) Club is having its Fall Welcome Meeting and Kick-Off on Thursday, September 18th. The event, which will be held in the College of Business Auditorium (Rooms 107/208) during X-period (1:40 – 2:30 p.m.), is open to all majors on campus. Hannah Osborne, Information Technology Manager at HP, will be the featured speaker. Joining her from Hewlett-Packard Company will be Joyti Lal, who was President of the BIT Club last year. Joyti is a recent graduate of our College of Business and we are delighted to welcome her back to campus. Refreshments will be served and door prizes will be awarded. Williford L. White Fellow award recipient – Dr. Don Bradley

Conway, UCA “buzzing” about .buzz
A new generation of internet domains is based right here in Arkansas.
Tuesday, .buzz launched, and UCA students are being credited with making it happen.
.buzz is a TLD or Top Level Domain, which is the letters to the far right of a domain name like .com or .org.
What looked like a typical college party on the lawn of the University of Central Arkansas’ College of Business Tuesday was actually a launch party for .buzz.

Sam Harper, Hewlett Packard, a local and international recruiter. He will talk about job opportunities (part-time, full-time and internships). We will have a Mystery Guest Speaker deliver a few remarks and conduct Officer Elections for next year. In addition, we will discuss our upcoming field trip to the Dillard’s Data Center and Headquarters in Little Rock on Tuesday, April 15th.
