Degrees: BS in Interior Design – UCA
Bio: April is currently the Interior Designer at Garver Engineering where she designs large commercial and government project interiors that include : Wastewater Treatment Plants, Department of Transportation Facilities, Military Installations and Airports Terminals throughout the Southern United States. She honed her rendering skills when specializing in Interior Product Design while working with Shayla Copas Interiors with products featured at 2020-2021 Market in High Point North Carolina.
She was formerly a furniture designer at Evo Business Environments. Where she specialized in furniture specification and space planning for healthcare, education and business environments.
When she can find a free moment, she freelances in residential design and 3D rendering. Prior to her design career she started and ran a small businesses and marketing cooperatives in Chicago. Her designs are shaped by her love for travel, experiences residing in seven states and fascination multicultural architectural influences. She has mentored and taught in many capacities for 40 years and loves getting to spend time with the brightest Bears on campus weekly!
