Psi Chi is hosting a presentation by Dr. Rowell on Thursday, September 25th, at x-period (1:40, Mashburn 239) on Trauma Psychology and the role of psychological service providers in dealing with natural and man-made catastrophes. Dr. Rowell is extremely involved with the Red Cross’s disaster response teams.
Dr. Guinee (jamesg@uca.edu) of the UCA Counseling Center is conducting a series of group discussions for students interested in a career in counseling. The group meetings will focus on the counseling profession, licensure, ethics, and basic counseling skills. Additional details are included on the attached flyer. The first meeting is September 17 from 4:15 to 5:30 in the Student Health Center room 327.
ArkansasIDEAS is offering a face-to-face training on talking to children about grief and mourning with Dr. Greg Adams, director of the Center for Good Mourning at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, on Tuesday, September 16 at 2:00 PM in the AETN building on campus. If you want to participate in this event, you must email Amy Giovannetti (agiovannetti@aetn.org) no later than September 15th to reserve a spot. Attendance is free, but seats are limited.
