SURF Grant awarded to Kane York and Dr. Ken Sobel

Dr. Kevin Rowell and Dr. Dong Xie conduct workshops in China

During the winter break, Dr. Kevin Rowell and Dr. Dong Xie conducted several workshops on suicide and crisis intervention, strength-based counseling, client feedback informed counseling, and basic counseling skills to over 150 Chinese counselors in mainland China.

Dr. Xie and Dr. Rowell collaborated with faculty from Hangzhou Normal University, College of Psychological Science Research. They also provided supervision to school counselors from school districts in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province. In addition, Dr. Xie presented a supervision workshop to the Department of Psychology at Zhejiang Normal University.
