DESCRIPTION:
The primary telescope of the UCA Observatory is a Meade 14-inch aperture LX200 telescope on a Paramount MX+ mount.
The observatory is used for faculty and student research projects and public observing nights.
LOCATION:
UCA Campus, Lewis Science Center; Observatory entrance is in the front lobby.
Longitude= 92 degrees 27 minutes West Latitude= 35 degrees 5 minutes North
PUBLIC NIGHTS
Come see the stars! The Public is invited to come view the night sky through the Meade 14-inch aperture LX200R telescope. Stairs to the observatory are located in the front lobby of the Lewis Science Center.
**Observatory nights require clear nights**
Fall 2024 Schedule:
*No Public Nights this semester since all clear nights fall semester are scheduled for the Observational Techniques Course.
