It is a privilege and an honor to work at UCA in Physics and Astronomy department with amazing colleagues and students with so much talent, enthusiasm and hard work. It is my pleasure to be their Administrator. It’s amazingly fun!
I’ve been with UCA since January of 2023 and been an Administrative Assistance all my career life. I was born in No. Kansas City Missouri, raised in Dallas, Texas and Denver metropolitan area Colorado. When I lived in Colorado I worked at Colorado State University in Ft. Collins as an Admin., greeter, custodian and Admin. in medical research to help doctors find cures for cancer, diabetes and heart disease. My daughter and I moved to Hot Springs Arkansas 18 years ago. My oldest daughter and her family are living in Buckeye, AZ. I met my husband 3 years being in Hot Springs and his daughter. I’ve been married for 15 wonderful years. He is a park ranger manager at Petit Jean State Park in Morrilton, at the Mather Lodge and restaurant. What a blessing to live on top of a beautiful mountain. We have a Siamese cat named Izabella Consuela and she owns the house and us, we just pay the mortgage.
Off work, I love to travel, go hiking, learn history of people and the civil war, learning and experimenting with natural herbs by making lotions, salves, and teas, and spending time with my husband and my 6 grandkids. I’m studying Arkansas birds & conversational Spanish. I’m back in playing my violin that I’ve been practicing on and off for 20 years.
I’m thrilled to be back working at a college again, which is my passion.
