Fieldwork education is a crucial element of occupational therapy education and integral to the curriculum at UCA. The purpose of fieldwork education is to provide students with the opportunity to assimilate knowledge from the classroom, practice occupational therapy skills, demonstrate professionalism, and develop into competent entry-level occupational therapists.
This web page is intended to provide information and resources to support fieldwork educators of varying experience. Some of the information here includes curriculum and course descriptions, how to establish a fieldwork site, developing site objectives, and other means of developing competencies. Please feel free to contact us with any suggestions or questions regarding fieldwork education.
