Job Opening: Occupational Therapist (OT) for Inpatient Rehab Hospital in Midland, TX

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to work in our 60-bed Inpatient acute rehab hospital
in Midland, Texas. Our facility provides a higher level of comprehensive rehabilitation services
with all the most innovative equipment and the latest technology with an experienced staff to
mentor a new grad.
We are accredited by The Joint Commission. In addition to caring for general rehabilitation
diagnoses such as orthopedic, amputation, pulmonary rehab, brain injury, multi-trauma,
neurological disorders, cardiac rehab, dysphagia, rheumatoid disorders, myopathy, and
industrial rehab, we also offer a specialized inpatient program for stroke.
All patients admitted are required to meet 3 hours of therapy 5 days/week or in special
circumstances 15 hours 7 days/week with documentation verifying a 7-day plan. This is a
regulatory requirement, and productivity expectation is based on this.
· Our focus is to train clinicians in order to have good outcomes and to be able to provide
excellent care to our patients. The new OT will be partnered with a staff therapist for helpful training
and mentorship.

Children’s Hand Therapy Fellowship

My name is Sarah Schmeda and I am the fellowship coordinator at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Our fellowship program is a 12-month pediatric hand therapy fellowship for occupational therapists interested in treating pediatric hand and upper extremity conditions. We provide clinical and didactic opportunities that give the fellow experience caring for various injuries and conditions of the upper extremities in children and young adults. Last year, we successful graduated our first fellow and are excited to share our program with anyone interested in the pediatric hand therapy specialty!

This fellowship is a great opportunity for new grads and practitioners interested in diving into the pediatric hand therapy specialty through a formal year long mentorship. Our application cycle for our August 2024-July 2025 fellow is open from January 15th to March 15th, 2024.
