Admission Requirements
Applicants must submit their application materials directly to the Graduate School. In addition to the Graduate School application, please contact the Graduate Coordinator (see above) to communicate with you about the program.
It is generally expected that applicants will have completed at least the equivalent of a minor in mathematics; however, we welcome applications from students with non-mathematics backgrounds. Deficiencies in previous training will be evaluated by the department’s Graduate Coordinator on a case-by-case basis. Students with deficiencies may be required to take additional courses to resolve the deficiencies.
It is recommended that you submit your Graduate School application at least one month before the semester you wish to start. Three months prior to your starting semester is preferable. Although every effort will be made to accommodate late applicants, there is no guarantee that a late application will be accepted and/or able to enroll in desired classes.

The international student admission application fee is part of the application and it cannot be waived. Matt Smith handles the immigration (I-20/visa) part of your application and he can be contacted at msmith117@uca.edu. All assistantship or program related inquiries should be directed to the Graduate Coordinator in the Mathematics Department listed above.
Assistantships
There are limited assistantships available that provide tuition assistance as well as a monetary stipend. The most common assistantships are teaching assistantships where students teach courses such as college algebra. Click here for more information.
