The Insurance and Risk Management major at the University of Central Arkansas is one of the fastest growing programs in the country. As Arkansas’ only Insurance and Risk Management degree, this program serves as a valuable resource for the regions’ insurance and financial services. UCA’s program integrates economic theory and financial principles with insurance and risk management to prepare students for a variety of careers in the insurance and financial services industry.
The Insurance and Risk Management program provides a secondary track in Financial Planning. A financial planner provides a full-service, coordinated plan for clients in terms of insurance needs, credit, savings, investments, retirement and estate planning. Many clients prefer to work directly with a financial planner, who offers a full perspective of their finances.
Students continually find rewarding internships while in the program and graduates have excellent employment opportunities. Many UCA students receive employment offers one full semester before graduation, and over 90% of graduates begin their careers in the industry within 30 days of graduation. Employment opportunities for graduates of UCA’s Insurance and Risk Management program include:
- Risk Manager
- Insurance Sales
- Insurance Broker
- Claims Adjuster
- Insurance Operations Manager
- Underwriters
UCA Insurance and Risk Management graduates have numerous employment options. You really can “Go Here! Go Anywhere!”
