What does it mean to be a UCA Bear? In this interactive session, you will learn about UCA’s mission, values and what makes this a wonderful place to live and learn. You will also meet some of your fellow Bears and hear about their exciting campus experiences. Come have some laughs, meet new friends and learn about your amazing new home.
Students will be dismissed to College Meetings after this session. SOSers will walk with you so you will know exactly where to go!

At this important session you’ll meet your dean, department chair, and faculty members in your college. Important information concerning your major and classes will be discussed. Lunch on the Lawn – 12:00-1:30 pm
Join faculty and staff on the lawns in front of McAlister and Irby Hall for a free lunch, lawn games, music, dancing, and more! Mix and mingle with other students and faculty from your academic college!
Members of the Schedler Honors Program will meet in the McCastlain Ballroom for lunch.
Students wishing to have a reduced sensory experience are invited to bring their lunch to the Low Sensory Lounge in Old Main Hall 028 (in the Old Main Basement).

All new students are required to attend this session based on the Living Learning Community they belong to. You’ll hear from the leadership of your Living Learning Community, meet the team living in your residence hall, and learn all the important information and guidelines about living in your residence hall.

FAFSA Workshop – 4:30-6:30 pm
This workshop is designed for students who have not submitted their 2025-2026 FAFSA or have trouble submitting their FAFSA. Sessions available at 4:30 pm, 5:30 pm, and 6:30 pm.
Around the World: Greek Life Edition – 6:00-8:00 pm
Travel through the UCA Greek community and meet all nineteen of our sorority and fraternity chapters for activities, games, and more! All of our chapters will have tents set up around the Student Center Lawn for you to have the opportunity to meet, interact, and get your passport stamped by all organizations. This is a great opportunity to connect with the overall Greek community in a low-pressure environment and learn more about what these organizations have to offer. Don’t forget to turn in your completed passport for a chance to win one of our big prizes!
