TITLE
- Counseling Center Intern (20 hours per week)
QUALIFICATIONS
- A current master’s student in the Mental Health Counseling program
- Completion of/concurrent enrollment in Practicum I
REPORTS TO
- Director of Training (Tina Livingston)
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Requirements
- Individual Counseling
- Group Counseling: Co-lead a group
- Crisis Intervention: Serve as on-call person 2-3 hours per week
- Outreach Programming: Conduct programs/workshops as assigned by Outreach Coordinator (Reesa Ramsahai)
Training Requirements
- Supervision: Individual Supervision 1 hour/week
- Training Seminars: Attend and participate in weekly training seminars
- Staffings/Staff Meetings: Attend/participate in a weekly staff meeting or staffing meeting
Administrative Requirements
- Clinical Records: Maintain clinical records in accordance with the Center’s procedures within 48 hours of session
- Staff Meetings: Attend/participate in weekly staff meetings
- Evaluation: Complete/submit evaluation forms as assigned
Additional and Optional Opportunities
- Training: Attend conferences/workshops outside of the center and/or UCA
- Research: Read/research the center’s resources and materials; initiate new projects
