Daylan Moore, Ed.S., NCC, LAC, joined the UCA Counseling Staff in August 2023. Daylan completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees at Harding University. Daylan earned a Master’s degree (M.S.) and an Educational Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Harding University’s CACREP-Accredited Program in 2021. Daylan is finishing his Ph.D. in Counseling and Psychological Studies (emphasis in Industrial and Organizational Psychology) at Regent University, with plans to finish in Spring 2025.
As a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC), Daylan enjoys helping others process life transitions, heal from racial trauma, and work through religious identity development. He has clinical experience working with individuals and groups from adolescents to geriatric populations in outpatient, acute hospitalization, and college community mental health settings. Daylan’s training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), and Psychological First Aid (PFA) inform his use of person-centered, solution-focused, and multicultural/social justice counseling practices.
Additionally, Daylan teaches Psychology and Counseling courses at the Graduate and Undergraduate Levels.
