Daylan Moore, Ph.D., LPC, NCC, joined the UCA Counseling Staff in August 2023. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)and National Certified Counselor (NCC), Dr. Daylan J. Moore enjoys helping others manage anxiety, address men’s mental health, explore religious identity, and heal from racial trauma. Dr. Moore completed his clinical internship in 2021 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, AR (Outpatient Clinic, Adult Psychiatry Inpatient, and Geriatric Psychiatry Inpatient). Since then, Dr. Moore has provided clinical mental health counseling services to individuals and groups across the life span as a licensed provider in outpatient, acute hospitalization, and college community mental health settings.
As a counselor, Dr. Moore integrates person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, and multicultural/social justice counseling practices. Since 2022, he has taught Psychology and Counseling courses at the Undergraduate and Graduate levels, respectively. Additionally, Dr Moore is actively involved in the community, serving as a board member for a local non-profit and providing educational workshops to students, organizations, and diverse leaders on implementing systemic practices for a healthy workplace.
Dr. Moore earned a Master of Science degree (M.S.) and an Educational Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Harding University’s CACREP-Accredited Program. Dr. Moore earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree (Ph.D.) in Counseling and Psychological Studies, with an emphasis in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, from Regent University’s SACSCOC-Accredited program.
