Daylan Moore, Ph.D., NCC, LAC, joined the UCA Counseling Staff in August 2023. As a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC), he enjoys helping others navigate life transitions, heal from racial trauma, and explore their religious identity development. Dr. Moore completed his clinical internship in 2021 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, AR (Outpatient Clinic, Adult Psychiatry-Inpatient, and Geriatric Psychiatry-Inpatient). Since 2022, Dr. Moore has provided clinical counseling services to individuals and groups across the life span in outpatient, acute hospitalization, and college community mental health settings.
As a counselor, Dr. Moore integrates person-centered, cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused, and multicultural/social justice counseling practices. Since 2022, he has taught Psychology and Counseling courses at the Undergraduate and Graduate levels, respectively. Dr Moore is actively involved in the community, serving as a board member for local organizations and providing educational workshops to students, organizations, and leaders on implementing systemic practices for a healthy workplace.
Dr. Moore earned a Master of Science degree (M.S.) and an Educational Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Harding University’s CACREP-Accredited Program in 2021. Dr. Moore earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree (Ph.D.) in Counseling and Psychological Studies, with an emphasis in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, from Regent University in the Spring of 2025.
