CNSM Annual Student Research Symposium

The College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics 27th Annual Student Research Symposium
Live Virtual Event – April 23, 2021, 1-3pm

Click here to join the meeting.

The annual student research symposium is an opportunity for all students in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics to showcase the research they have been working on both in the lab and out in the field. It brings students and faculty from all our disciplines together in one place and is a great way to learn about the amazing research that goes on in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the University of Central Arkansas.

To continue to protect the health and safety of our faculty, staff, and students, this year’s symposium will be held virtually via Zoom. You all have worked hard in the lab and in the field and we are excited that we will get to see and hear the results of your hard work. We will also be announcing the recipients of this year’s Advancement of Undergraduate Research in the Sciences (AURS) and Southwestern Energy research awards.

Participation in the research symposium is a two step process, first, register using the link below and then prepare a short presentation to be given during the live virtual event.  Sign up for time slots will go out after the April 12th registration deadline.

STEP 1: Registration – Due April 12 by noon.

To register for the symposium, please click on the link below. We are currently working on the behind the scenes details and the email provided in the registration process will be the primary means of communicating with you so please use an email that you check often.

STEP 2: Presentation – April 23, 2021

This year students will be given the opportunity to sign up for a presentation time during our live virtual symposium on April 23 from 1pm-3pm. Multiple sessions will be held simultaneously and be grouped by department or program as needed. Students will need to be prepared to present their research posters, give a brief overview of their research, and allow for a question and answer period. Sessions will be moderated and time limits strictly followed.
