Karen Yezzi is a graduate of John Brown University and spent thirty-six years in the property and casualty insurance business as an independent agent. Karen retired as Senior Vice President of Ramsey, Krug, Farrell & Lensing, now Cadence Insurance Services, Inc. Karen is well known throughout the property/casualty insurance industry.
She dedicated twenty-five years to volunteering on various committees with the Independent Insurance Agents of Arkansas and as a result of her work she was awarded numerous awards including the Allan Kennedy Award given annually to the outstanding agent of the year. Karen also served on various committees of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America and is the recipient of both their President’s Award and the Matt Cantoni Technical Award.
After Karen’s early retirement in 2007, she and her late husband Dom, traveled the world. While in Arkansas they shared their time and financial resources with many charitable organizations. After her husband’s death in 2017, Karen dedicated herself to serving others and volunteers for several non-profits and serves on the Board of Youth Home, Inc, as well as serving as on Creekwood Horizontal Property Regime Board, the POA where she resides. She is also the Vice Chairmen elect of the UCA College of Business Arkansas Insurance Hall of Fame Board and was instrumental in establishing an endowment for student scholarships in the UCA College of Business program Insurance & Risk Management.
Karen is an active member of Lakewood United Methodist church where she volunteers to feed the homeless, serves as president of her Sunday school class and secretary of the Board of Trustees.
