Karen Shaw serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Citizens Bank and is responsible for the financial management of the Bank. She has over 25 years of banking experience and oversees the Bank’s Investment and Asset Liability Committee, Policy Committee, and development of financial planning and budgets to guide the Bank’s future business growth.
Prior to joining Citizens Bank in 2003, Ms. Shaw spent eight years at big four public accounting firm Ernst & Young managing a diverse range of client accounts that included both publicly traded and nonpublic banking institutions in the state of Arkansas.
Ms. Shaw is a member of the board of directors of the University Of Central Arkansas College Of Business Advisory Board and the American Red Cross serving Greater Arkansas where she also serves on the Philanthropy Committee. She is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Arkansas State Society of CPAs, North Heights Church of Christ, and nonprofit Christmas Brings Hope where she serves as treasurer.
She is married to Edward Shaw, and they have two children, Kayla (18) and Collin (13).
Ms. Shaw is a certified public accountant and a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas, where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with the Highest Honors in Accounting.
