Role Description
UCA Students —- We are growing! PAM Transport is looking to add interns to our terminal in North Little Rock. We are looking for a candidate still in school or a recent graduate who is looking to get into the transportation industry. Our internship schedules are flexible as we know all candidates have different class times. You can work full-time during the summer and the internship does not have to end there. If you enjoy it and do well then we would love for you to continue gaining real world experience working part-time during the school year. This is a great way to learn the industry from the ground up and many of our interns stay with us through graduation and join the team full-time!
As an intern here at PAM, you will contribute to our team’s success by:
- Learning how to effectively communicate and work with drivers
- Gaining exposure on how to dispatch a truck and plan a load
- Analyzing reports to determine what data or trends are relevant
- Provide customer service to different accounts
- Other miscellaneous duties as required by the operations managers
The Operations team is a high paced and competitive atmosphere. The group is upbeat, positive and growing quickly. This is a great opportunity to gain first hand knowledge of the trucking industry. You will work with a variety of other departments to grow your knowledge. Whether you want a career in Operations or in another area of transportation, our operations internship gives you understanding from the basics of transportation to the nuances and details of all operations. In this role, you will develop the skills that will support you in any role in transportation.
