The UCA Department of Art and Design has developed an exciting new Resident Artist Program for Alumni. This residency is designed to bring degree-holding alumni back to the University each semester to engage in goal-driven, intensive, on-campus studio and research work.
With generous support from the Windgate Foundation the goal of this paid residency is to deliver a robust experience in support of recent alumni of the Department of Art and Design, who would prosper from access to the department’s facilities and equipment in pursuit of specific artistic endeavors and professional aspirations. The residency offers an opportunity to grow as an artist and to make a body of work that strengthens portfolios to be used for graduate school, fellowships, exhibitions and job applications.
The department is very excited to be able to support our alumni in this way. The residency will provide valuable time, facilities, support and professional development through required responsibilities such as public artist talks, exhibitions and undergraduate student mentoring. Current students can read a detailed description of the opportunities and responsibilities as well as the qualifications for application on the UCA Department of Art and Design homepage. Alumni have been sent a link to the application via email using our alumni database.
