Artist in Residence, Dan Steinhilber created Dark Matter, an outdoor work that has been installed between Harrin and McAlister Halls on the UCA campus. Come check it out!

The Big Naturals
If you have not seen the only Patrick Dougherty installation in Arkansas, The Big Naturals, located adjacent to the Baum Gallery and created by the artist in the fall of 2014 with the help of over 300 community volunteers, it is well worth the trip.
A video of the sculpture’s installation can be viewed here.

Exhibitions and Events

The Baum Gallery at UCA has invited talented Washington DC-based sculptor Dan Steinhilber to be its artist in residence for fall of 2015. Steinhilber’s imaginative sculptural creations utilize common mass-produced consumer goods in unique ways. He will fill the Baum’s three main galleries with his large-scale sculptural work and create a temporary public art installation that will remain in place outdoors for a period of six weeks.

You are invited to the unveiling celebration for Steinhilber’s outdoor installation on Saturday, September 12th, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. On the campus of UCA between Harrin  and McAlister Halls. Rain or shine.

Madje Steber, suffering from memory loss, naps with her favorite stuffed kitty at Midtown Manor Assisted Living Facility in Hollywood, Florida. Dementia changed Madje, not just by the loss of memory, but by way of personality, making her more open, kinder, and, after the stage of violence which often occurs with dementia, more gentle.
