School psychologists are uniquely qualified members of school teams that support students’ ability to learn and teachers’ ability to teach. They apply expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior, to help children and youth succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally (NASP). If you are interested in psychology or the world of education, this career may be for YOU! School Psychology is a growing field with an overall 14% increase of employment through 2026. - Freshmen and sophomore psychology and education majors are eligible for admission to the School Psychology Undergraduate and Mentoring Pathway . Admission to the program means that students are on track to be admitted to the Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) program. Students who maintain the necessary requirements, pass a background check, interview successfully, complete their baccalaureate degree, and complete prerequisites will be admitted to the Ed.S. program.
