Site Visit to Peru – January 6-11, 2025

Interested in visiting Peru to learn more about opportunities for future faculty-led programs and other types of collaboration?

The Office of Education Abroad is looking for up to two faculty members to join us on a familiarization tour of a potential new partner’s (Máximo Nivel) institute and campus in Peru this January. Máximo Nivel provides airport pick up, accommodations, meals and transportation while in-country. This visit will allow faculty interested in working on future study abroad programs in Peru the opportunity to learn more about Máximo Nivel’s study abroad opportunities, international internships, service-learning projects, Spanish Language immersion programs and more.

Monday, January 6, 2025: Arrival Day (Lima, Peru)

  • Flight to Lima
  • Peru Overnight in Lima (if necessary, depending on flight schedule)

Tuesday, January 7, 2025: Arrival Day (Cusco, Peru)

  • Flight to Cusco Pick up at Cusco Airport by Máximo Nivel representative
  • Transfer to Cusco and Máximo Nivel institute tour
  • Welcome Dinner

Wednesday, January 8, 2025: Cusco, Peru

  • Walking tour
  • Service Learning and Internship site visits
  • Visit to student accommodations
  • Machu Picchu pre-departure briefing
  • Free evening

Thursday, January 9, 2025: Machu Picchu

  • Transfer to Ollantaytambo and train to Aguas Calientes
  • Dinner at hotel
  • Free evening

Friday, January 10, 2025: Machu Picchu

  • Machu Picchu guided tour
  • Transfer back to Cusco
  • Free evening

Saturday, January 11, 2025: Departure Day (Peru)

  • Transfer to Cusco airport
  • Travel back home
