We will begin accepting proposals from programs taking place between March 2027 and January 2028 in early February 2026.
Faculty proposing a program for the first time should be aware of the following three phases of the proposal process:
PHASE I (to be completed by March 1st)
- Must attend at least one “Faculty Info Session: Leading an Education Abroad Program.”
- Submit an abstract outlining the program you plan to lead
- Submit signed Short Term Study Abroad Faculty Approval Form*
Your abstract will be reviewed by the Office of Education Abroad and the Center for Global Learning and Engagement.

PHASE II (Mid to Late March)
- Meet with Office of Education Abroad staff to review feedback on submitted abstract.

PHASE III (all documents submitted by April 1st)
- Complete Faculty Data Form*
- Read and sign Faculty Guidelines*
- Submit Short-Term Program Details form including the following:
- Itinerary (You must use this template)
- Course Syllabi
*Each faculty member must submit this form individually.

PHASE IV (Mid to Late April)
- Meet with Office of Education Abroad staff to make initial budgeting decisions.
